Australian safari catches fire near Thulusdhoo

A fire has broken out on an Australian safari which was harboured in Kuda Villingili near Thulusdhoo.

The fire broke out during the early hours of Monday. MNDF revealed that a fire was reported on an Australian safari at approximately 5:42 am on Monday. Unfortunately it was reported that the yatch sank at around 9:31 am despite fire exhaustion efforts.

MNDF stated that there were three Australian nationals on board the safari at the time of the fire and that they were rescued and transferred to another nearby safari without any serious injuries.

However, all three were taken to a near by health centre for assessment and treatment.
