Jumhooree Party (JP) has announced that the party would be contesting for all constituencies of the Maldives in the upcoming local council elections.
The party made the decision in a council meeting held yesterday, adding that they would also be contesting in the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
JP revealed that anyone who is interested in contesting on the JP ticket may do so starting today.
While JP has announced their decision to contest in all constituencies, so has the ruling party MDP, and opposition party PPM.
The elections are due to be held on 4th April, 2020.
