Maldives reports two tourists admitted at Dharumavantha Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 in Bathala Resort have recovered, leaving only 4 local patients in recovery in the country.
Mabrouq Azeez, spokesperson for the national Covid-19 task force stated in a press conference held last night that both tourists were discharged from the hospital to travel back to Italy yesterday itself.
The 4 patients in recovery all tested positive for the virus fairly recently while in quarantine after arriving from the UK.
Maldives has taken exceptional measures to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country, including taking all passengers arriving into country directly to quarantine facilities and the temporary entry ban of tourists in to the country since the 27th of March.
