Covid-19: 2 more recover, recovery toll rises to 5 in Maldives

Maldives announced on Monday that two more patients who tested positive for the newly Covid-19 have recovered, raising recovery numbers to 5 in the country.

In a news conference held at the convention centre, Dharubaaruge, Male’, a team of doctors from Indhira Gandi Memorial Hospital stated that while a total of 13 patients have tested positive for the coronavirus in the Maldives, 5 have recovered, including the three patients announced previously.

Spokesperson for the national Covid-19 taskforce, Mabrouq Azeez revealed that so far 673 samples have been taken for testing, and that 660 samples have come back negative. He also mentioned that at present, there are 496 people placed in quarantine facilities across the country.
