207 Maldivians evacuated from Trivandrum, India

207 Maldivians stuck in Trivandrum, India have been brought back to the Maldives with the help of Maldivian, the national carrier for the country.

Maldivian has also recently assisted in bringing 183 Maldivians stuck in Cochin, India, totaling up to 390 Maldivians being evacuated from India amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

While rescue missions are underway in bringing back Maldivians stuck in various countries, more than 100 Maldivians were brought back from Sri Lanka and a further 197 Maldivians from Malaysia.

All individuals arriving from abroad are to be quarantined as per the regulations of Health Protection Agency (HPA).
