Male’, Maldives – A Maldivian citizen of age 89 passed away due to covid-19.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) stated that the individual who passed away today at 6:20 a.m, was an 89 year old female in Hulhumale’ Isolation Facility. This is the 7th Covid-19 death in the Maldives.
A bangladeshi, aged 54 receiving care at Tree Top Hospital also passed away last night due to Covid-19. Until now all the deceased Maldivian nationals have been senior citizens.
The total number of positive cases in Maldives is now 1829, out of which 590 Maldivians. So far 488 people have recovered from the virus, and 7 have passed away.
