Covid-19: 111 recovery cases today

Male’, Maldives – Additional 111 cases have recovered from Covid-19 in Maldives.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) disclosed that along with the 111 recovery cases confirmed today, the total number of recovery cases in Maldives has now increased to 1,153 cases. With this, more than half of the confirmed cases have recovered from the virus.

Although the majority number of confirmed cases in Maldives are of immigrant workers living in Maldives, the majority of the recovery cases consist of Maldivian nationals.

As of 6 pm today, HPA confirmed 14 additional cases of:

  • 05 Maldivians
  • 08 Bangladeshis
  • 01 Sri Lankan

Including these 14 cases, the total number of confirmed cases in Maldives is now at 1,976. While 10 are receiving care from the hospitals for the virus, 8 have passed away up to date. Among the deceased are 4 Maldivians and 4 foreigners.

At present, there are 813 active cases in Maldives.

While 797 people are held in isolation facilities, 306 people are in quarantine facilities.
