Covid-19: Additional 14 confirmed cases and 10 recoveries.

Malé, Maldives — HPA confirmed additional 14 Covid-19 cases and 10 recoveries have been confirmed in Maldives.

HPA confirmed that, in the past 24 hours, an additional 14 confirmed cases of:

  • 08 Maldivians
  • 03 Bangladeshis
  • 02 Indian
  • 01 Sri Lankan

Counting these 14 cases, the total number of confirmed cases in Maldives is now at 2,217. Currently among these cases, there are only 391 active cases remaining in Maldives.

Although the most number of confirmed cases in Maldives are of immigrant workers living in Maldives, the majority of the recovery cases consist of Maldivian nationals

While 16 people were confirmed for the virus today, 10 has completely recovered from it. Along with these recoveries, a total of 1,813 people have completely recovered from the virus in Maldives.

Up to date, 8 have passed away from Covid-19 in Maldives. The deceased are 4 Maldivian nationals and 4 Foreign Nationals.

While there are 311 people held in Isolation facilities, 140 are in quarantine facilities.
