Addu City, Maldives – An individual in Equator Village quarantine facility has tested positive for Covid-19.
The 65 year old female who was staying in the transit quarantine facility, after traveling to Addu from Male’, with her grand daughter tested positive after completing the 14 day quarantine period. The grand daughter tested negative.
NEOC Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez confirmed the news adding that samples were taken on the 16th day of arrival.
The patient is reported to be asymptomatic and in a stable condition.
This is the first person to have tested positive for Covid-19 in Addu City.
