Military training to take place in Addu City

Male’, Maldives – A special military training programme has been scheduled to take place in Gan, Addu City, announced the Transport Ministry of Maldives.

In the announcement, the Ministry stated that the training would be held from 19th to 23rd of July from 06:00 to 18:00 everyday.

The trainings would utilize an area 7 nautical miles south of S. Gan, revealed the Ministry.

Revealing that the trainings would include firing guns, the Ministry published how the air space in this area would be utilized during the course of the programme

  • Weapon to be used: Machine gun firing
  • Longest air distance to be used: 5000 meters
  • Highest air distance to be used: 100 meters
  • Least air distance to be used: Sea level
  • Direction of air space to be used: 7 nautical miles south of S. Gan

The Ministry advised any parties traveling south of Gan to be cautious during this period.
