Covid-19: 22 confirmed cases and 12 recoveries in 24hours

Male’, Maldives — Additional 22 Covid-19 cases and 12 recoveries have been confirmed over a day in Maldives.

HPA disclosed that, as of 6pm of June 27, from 6pm of June 26, additional 22 cases were confirmed. They are:

  • 04 Maldivians
  • 14 Bangladeshis
  • 04 Sri Lankan

Including these 22 confirmed cases, Maldives now has a total of 2,305 confirmed Covid-19 cases. However, currently among these cases, there are only 417 active cases in Maldives.

While 22 people were confirmed to have the virus, 12 have completely recovered from it. Along with these 12 recoveries, a total of 1,875 people have completely recovered from the virus in Maldives. 

Up to date, 8 have passed away from Covid-19 in Maldives. The deceased are 4 elderly Maldivian nationals and 4 Foreign nationals.

While there are 310 people held in Isolation facilities, 220 are in quarantine facilities at present.
