Mumbai, India — After testing positive for Covid-19 earlier this week, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been taken to hospital.
ANI agency reports say that one of the most famous Bollywood face and former Miss World, Aishwarya and her daughter are being treated at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital.
Both famous actors, husband Abhishek and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan of Aishwarya have also been in hospital since Saturday after they tested positive for the virus.
The Bollywood superstar; 77-year-old Amitabh Bachchan, who has achieved global fame during his long and illustrious career so far had tweeted on Sunday and had told his millions of followers that he had tested positive for the virus.
Another tweet on the same day by Amithab’s son Abishek, also a famous actor, had revealed that he, his 46-year-old wife Aishwarya and eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya had also tested tested positive for the virus.
However, wife of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan – also a famous actress – had tested negative for the virus.
Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya had been isolating in home until now but now they have been taken to the hospital for better care.
India had recorded a record of 35,000 new confirmed cases in 24 hours on Friday, surpassing the one million mark.
India is now the third worst affected country in the world, after US and Brazil. The current death toll of India is 25,602.
