Washington, D.C, United States — The United States of America reports nearly 1,500 Covid-related deaths over a day making it the highest number of daily deaths in the country.

This is the biggest single-day increase in fatalities since mid-May, according to the data shown.

Along with the cases found on Wednesday, the rise has brought the country’s death toll to at least 166,000 nationwide, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

Although the country is edging towards 5.2 million comfirmed coronavirus cases, Trump administration continues to push for children to return to schools, businesses to reopen and crowds to fill sports stadiums.

“We’ve got to open up our schools and open up our businesses,” Trump said at a White House briefing on Wednesday.

All 50 states of America have been lifting stay-at-home orders and other restrictions since May. Although these instructions, curbed the spread of coronavirus, they widely damaged the economy of the country.

When the restrictions were eased in the states of America, infections spiked again, with southern and western states seeing the largest outbreaks.
