Male’, Maldives – The Covid-19 death toll of Maldives has risen to 22, with the latest death recorded on Friday early morning.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that a 61 year old female, who was receiving treatment at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility ICU passed away on Friday morning at 1:45.
This comes as the number of Covid-19 cases in the Male’ region has been on the rise, with 128 cases from the Maldives in just 24 hours. 83 out of the 128 individuals were Maldivians.
With this, the total number of cases recorded in the country so far, has risen to 5,494, with more than 2,500 active cases. Out of these active cases, 156 patients are receiving hospitalized care.
