COVID-19: 215 Active cases in Addu City

Addu City, Maldives – Addu Emergency Operation Center reveals that active cases in Addu City is at 215.

The statistics released by AEH shows that with the additional 15 cases confirmed yesterday, the total number of active cases in Addu City has risen to 215.

At present, the most number of active cases are in Hithadhoo with 122 cases, followed by Maradhoo with 40 active Covid-19 cases and Feydhoo with 32 cases, while Maradhoofeydhoo has 3 cases.

AEH further informs that there are 11 active cases in Meedhoo and 7 active cases in Hulhudhoo as of this Sunday.

Additionally, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) reveals that 128 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the Maldives. It was detailed that out of the 128 cases, 35 were from the Malé area, while 66 cases were recorded from inhabited islands. The figures also revealed that 27 new cases were found from operational resorts, adding upto 1,700 active cases in the country.

With this Maldives continues the trend of higher percentage of cases recorded in the islands.
