Addu City, Maldives – The 38 year old male who tested positive for Covid-19 in Addu City has made a full recovery from the viral infection.
The individual tested positive for the virus while in home quarantine, after traveling to the city from Male’ – the capital of Maldives which is still struggling to keep the number of cases under control. He was since kept in isolation, along with any direct or indirect contact who will also all remain in quarantine for a period of 14 days.
Upon the completion of the two week isolation, the individual is expected to be released from isolation on Friday night, after his contacts test negative for the virus. Addu health care officials report that the samples of the contacts have already been collected.
This is the first case of Covid-19 in Addu City while in home quarantine and the first to have recovered. Currently there are two active cases in the city.
