Addu records three new cases of Covid-19

Addu City, Maldives – Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has confirmed that three new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Addu City on Monday.

It was revealed that the three new cases were of a 27 year old male and a 27 year old female from Feydhoo, along with a 23 year old Bangladeshi national who is residing in Maradhoo.

All patients were tested upon the completion of a 14 day travel related quarantine, of which the results came back positive. However, all three are reported to be asymptomatic and are otherwise healthy.

Authorities have commenced contact tracing regarding the three cases.

Addu currently has a total of 5 active cases at present time, with two more patients having have recovered today.

Addu recorded a total of 8 cases of Covid-19 related to home quarantine in Addu so far.
