Male’, Maldives – a 27th Covid-19 patient has passed away in the Maldives today, reported Health Protection Agency (HPA).
The Agency reported that the patient was a 79 year old male who was taken to the ER of Indhira Gandi Memorian Hospital (IGMH) at 2:58 on Monday morning. HPA revealed no further details of the circumstances surrounding the death.
Last Friday, Maldives lost a 26th patient to the coronavirus, who was a 62 year old Bangladeshi national.
As Maldives continues to record new cases on the daily, the number of recoveries is also on the rise, with 4,222 recoveries out of the total 6,564 cases.
