Addu City, Maldives – A fourth case of Covid-19 has been recorded in Feydhoo, Addu City on Tuesday morning, confirmed the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC).
The latest positive case is linked to the two individuals who tested positive in the same district of Addu City yesterday. The individual is a 25 year old female, who is the wife and direct contact of the 27 year old male who tested positive from Feydhoo on Monday.
The link was established during the contact tracing which was carried out on Monday, following which she was administered a test.
With this, Addu City now has six active cases of Covid-19 in the city, with a total of 10 recorded cases so far, out of which, all are quarantine related, but 9 were from home quarantine.
So far, all cases have been reported to be imported cases from either the capital, Male’ which is currently in bad shape in terms of the number of rising Covid-19 cases, or from abroad. Due to this, a community spread has not been established in the area yet.
