Kulhudhuffushi, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) has placed Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi under monitoring status.
This was announced in a notice released by HPA, following an individual sent to Male’ from the island for further medical treatment testing positive for Covid-19.
The notice by HPA read that the island was placed under monitoring after an individual in the island tested positive for Covid-19, due to which the Agency was required to look into certain aspects of the matter. With this, no one is allowed to enter or leave the premises of the island until further notice from HPA.
Along with Kulhudhuffushi, Gdh. Thinadhoo has also been placed under monitoring on Saturday, after a crew member of a boat traveling between Male’ and the island.
At present, Maldives is recording cases exceeding 100 on the daily, with the total number of infected patients being above 7,500.
