Male’, Maldives – The Economic Ministry of Maldives has announced that the application deadline for income support allowance for the months of July, August and September have been extended.
In an announcement by the Ministry, it was revealed that the second round of income support allowance will be for July, August and September, of which MVR 5,000 will be given per month, to those whose jobs have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The announcement also read that the deadline for applications have been extended to allow as many people as possible to apply for the benefits. In this regard, the deadline for requesting the allowance of July has been set for the 15th of September, with 30th September being the deadline for requesting the benefits of August. The September allowance shall be claimed by 30th October.
According to the Ministry, any one whose income has been affected since December of 2019 will be eligible for this allowance.
The Ministry also stated that only e-forms will be accepted during this round, which is available from the Job Center website.
