Laamu Atoll, Maldives — Police have recovered a total of MVR 352, 500 cash that was stolen from a a house in Isdhoo island of Laamu atoll.
The case was reported to on Sunday, to which the Isdhoo and Gan police stations, along with police’s intelligence unit held a special operation on the island to recover the cash.
According to police, MVR 352,500 was found buried on the land. The police refrained from specifying the location it was buried.
Two suspects have been arrested following the case. They were a 29-year-old and a 38-year-old.
Further investigations are being carried out regarding the theft.
