Male’, Maldives – A man in the southern atolls of Maldives has been arrested as a suspect for sexually abusing a five year old girl.
Maldives Police Service revealed on Monday that a case of sexual abuse was reported by a health center on Sunday, in an island within the southern region (Gnyaviyani Atoll and Addu City), which falls under the jurisdiction of the Southern Police Division.
The suspect in the case was identified as a 36-year-old local male, who was arrested under court order on Sunday night and it was revealed that Maldives Police Service is further investigating the case.
