Malé, Maldives – The Maldives Police Service has arrested a 33 year old Maldivian man for sexually abusing a minor.
The man was arrested in northern Maldives for sexually abusing a minor under a court warrant. The suspect has since been remanded to 10 days in custody.
Local news reports that the man is the child’s stepfather.
Police have not revealed any further details on the case.
