Bale to Spurs, giving away Delle

Real Madrid’s top earner Gareth Bale is returning to his boyhood club, Tottenham Hotspurs, according to multiple reports.

Bale who has been sidelined for the third consecutive season was linked to Premier League club Manchester United. But his agent has dismissed those rumors and called it “rubbish news”.

However, a day after reports emerged that Real Madrid would be willing to let Bale go if they can get their hands on Spurs and England star Dele Alli.

Reports also said Spurs are looking into buying their young left back Sergio Regulion.

Real Madrid’s academy star Regulion was heavily linked to Manchester United in the earlier stages of the transfer window. However, United refused to put in a buy-back clause in the deal which eventually killed it off, according to reporters in Spain.

Tottenham are keen to sign Bale and Real wants to offload him as they need to reduce their wage bill. Bale, who has two years left on his contract earns nearly $600k a week.

Their highest earner, Harry Kane earns 200k a week now. Giving Bale a salary equivalent to Real Madrid would be nearly impossible as Tottenham doesn’t earn close to what the Madrid club earns during a calendar year.

Tottenham signed Bale at the age of 17 years old from Southampton. He became a superstar and Spurs’ one of the greats which caught all the top clubs’ attention. Real Madrid signed Bale in 2013 for a then world Record fee of 85 million GBP.

Bale has scored over 100 goals in Real Madrid colors, winning 4 Champions League titles, scoring in two finals. However, injuries and bad relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane has put him in the sidelines and out of Zidane’s plans for the club.
