Male’, Maldives – No corruption or embezzlement will take place at FENAKA, says the Managing Director of the company, Ahmed Saeed.
Saeed’s statement comes following a complaint being filed with the Anti Corruption Commission of Maldives (ACC), with 27 counts of corruption and misconduct, against Saeed himself. The complaint which was filed by an independent individual, whose name has not been revealed, mentioned major corruption claims and misuse of authority in providing employment for undue reasons.
Speaking about the matter in a program by local news channel “Raajje TV”, Saeed said he can guarantee that no corruption is and will take place in side FENAKA, and that those who are spiteful of this have filed a complaint with the ACC and that he is happy about it.
“I accept the complaint and call upon the authorities to investigate independently and as soon as possible.” Saeed said.
He added that it is a big joke that such accusations are made against the company every time a service provided by the company is not available and that as long as he is the MD of the company, he will not allow any such misconduct to take place within the company. He also stated that he will fully cooperate with ACC with regards to the complaints filed against him.
ACC has revealed that individual claims are being looked into and that the matter would be investigated after this process.
