Kulhudhuffushi, Maldives – A man has been arrested in Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi for possession of drugs on Thursday.
Maldives Police Service revealed that the man was arrested in a special operation held in collaboration with the Intelligence department of the institution and Kulhudhuffushi Police.
The 26 year old male who was arrested during this operation was found to have carrying a rubber packet with a substance believed to be drugs, according to authorities.
It was further reported that the arrest was made around 16:35 near Kulhudhuffushi harbour and that police are further investigating the matter.
There have been many drug and alcohol busts and raids throughout the Maldives, which saw many getting arrested.
