Addu City, Maldives – A group of youth passionate about basketball have taken the initiative to renovate and modernize the basket ball located in Hithadhoo, Addu City.
Currently, lighting and paint work of the court has been completed after the youth took it upon themselves to request the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment for assistance.
A special basketball match was played at the court on Friday to commemorate the opening of the new and improved court at the Hithadhoo Zone Stadium.
While basketball is popular among the youth of the country, Basket Stars Academy has been training youngsters across the country in the sport since last year.
