Run for Maldives started – a chance to win grand prizes

Male’, Maldives – The international virtual run “Run for Maldives“, organised by Unix Sporting has started.

This run being the first international run of Maldives, people of different categories have participated in this virtual run. Even though the run has already started, the opportunity to participate in this run is still open until October 15th and will continue until the 11th of November.

This event is endorsed by MMPRC along with the Tourism Ministry and a number of resorts and guesthouses in Maldives have partnered in the event at different categories. 20 people will be selected to be given the opportunity to spend a holiday at a resort at the end of the run and as per the organizers, this process will be carried out by a licensed auditing firm. The winners would get 2 nights, full board or half board meal plan, domestic transfer by speedboat or seaplane depending on the price they win.

The four categories in this run have been named relative to Maldives. This includes;

  • 5.5 km – City Link
  • 16 km – Addu Link
  • 21 km – Laamu Link
  • 870 km – “Raajje” Link

A medal will be delivered to the houses of each participant of this run and the director of Run for Maldives Race is the famous Maldivian long distance runner, Ahmed Sharaf.
