Kulhudhuffushi and Nolhivaram removed from monitoring

Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives – Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi and Hdh. Nolhivaram have been removed from monitoring status.

The two islands were put on lockdown on the 25th of September, following a crew member of “Faalhu Boat” which travels between the islands and Male’ tested positive for Covid-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that the monitoring status was lifted from the islands after verifying all necessary areas as stated in section 12 of the Public Health Act, and ensuring that there is no further requirement for the islands to be under monitoring.

In the contact tracing efforts carried out after the captain of “Faalhu Boat” tested positive, four other individuals were also tested positive.

Currently there are 38 active cases of the coronavirus in 22 different islands across the Maldives.
