Kaafu Atoll, Maldives — Maldives Police Service has started to investigate the death of an expat who passed away due to an electrical accident at Adaaran Club Rannalhi resort in the southern Malé atoll.
While the incident occurred at approximately 1830 hrs on Sunday, the expat was immediately transported to the Health Centre of Maafushi, Kaafu Atoll. The time was then 1930 hrs.
At approximately 2000 hrs, the police was informed of the electrical incident and they revealed that the expat who passed away was a male of Sri Lankan nationality.
Although no further details were revealed by the police, the police assured that they will be further investigating the cause of the incident.
