Three LUX* resorts recieve Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 award

Malé, Maldives — Three resorts from the Luxury hospitality brand LUX* Resorts & Hotels recieves the Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Award.

Two of the resorts that recieved the atoll were from Maldives. They were LUX* North Male Atoll Resort and Villas which ranked fourth place and LUX* South Ari Atoll Resort and Villas, ranking 29th place. The third LUX* resort to acheive the award was LUX* Belle Mare Resort and Villas in Mauritius. This resort was awarded 22nd place.

The Chief operating Officer of LUX* , Dominik Ruh expressed the company’s feelings and stated that they are “incredibly honoured to have three of our properties awarded this prestigious recognition, which is a testament of our commitment and dedication of providing heartfelt Lighter, Brighter* services that LUX* Resorts and Hotels are known for.”

He added that the company is also using the downtime to upgrade several of our properties, as well as getting LUX* Grand Baie Resort and Residences, and LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi ready for opening in 2021. We hope to see more resorts on the list next year.”

While the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are well known and considered as the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry, they ranked this year’s properties based on a large number of responses submitted by over 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers who had rated their worldwide travel experiences.

The US Editor of Condé Nast Traveler Jesse Ashlock stated that the “results of this year’s survey, conducted at the start of the COVID-19 19 pandemic, is a testament to the lasting power of a meaningful travel experience.”

“The winners represent the best of the best for our audience and offer plenty of trip-planning inspiration for all the adventures we can’t wait to have next,” he continued.

The resorts in Maldives had managed to fill up a total of 26 slots in The Top 30 resorts in Indian Ocean, where the Nautilus Maldives was ranked at the top, followed by Naladhu Private Island Maldives in second place, and The Oberoi in Mauritius at third place.

While LUX* North Male’ Atoll and Soneva Jani placed fourth and fifth place respectively, the sixth, seventh, eighth and tenth places were awarded to Joali Maldives, Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa and One & Only Reethi Rah respectively.
