Police dispose confiscated liquor bottles

L. Fonadhoo, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has disposed the liquor bottles that were in the possession of L. Fonadhoo Police Station, on Friday.

The bottles were disposed in L. Fonadhoo in adherence to the regulations to be followed when disposing liquor bottles brought into the possession of police regarding different issues.

According to the police, these liquor bottles were confiscated from tourists who travelled to L. Kadhdhoo Airport between 8th October 2018 to 26th February of this year was disposed. The police went on to say that 47 bottles of different brands, confiscated in relation to 31 cases were disposed.

On 8th of October police disposed more than 300 kilograms of drugs in Dhoonidhoo. While speaking at the disposal event, Home minister stated that Maldives is trying to become a drug-free based society and that drug raids would be carried out in Maldives to confiscate them.
