Lisbon, Portugal – The Portuguese Football Federation (PFF) has announced that Portuguese and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for Covid-19.

He tested positive for the virus days after he played for Portugal against France in the Nations League and Spain in an international friendly match, which makes a lot of football stars a direct contact.

Upon receiving the results, Ronaldo immediately left the Portugal National Team to isolate himself. PFF also went on to say that Ronaldo is doing well and is asymptomatic.

As Ronaldo was with the team members hours before the news, the rest of the team was also tested for Covid-19. PFF confirmed that all results came back negative and that they are available to Fernando Santos for training in Cidade do Futebol.

Ronaldo’s positive test comes shortly after two of his Portuguese team-mates also tested positive for Covid-19.

Due to the virus he will not be facing against Sweden for the qualification phase of the Nations League which is scheduled for Wednesday.
