Addu City, Maldives — A 25-year-old male has been arrested from Addu City due to brutal gang violence
The individual was arrested under a court order by the Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Monday due to a gang fight that took place in the Addu City. Police did not reveal further details about the individuals who was arrested.
The gang fight took place on late at night on Sunday in the most populous island of Addu City, Hithadhoo. After a misunderstanding between two gangs in the city, an individual was attacked with a sharped edged weapon and he had suffered multiple cuts on his back and left hand.
In the pictures received by ‘The Times of Addu’, the individual had several cuts on his body including a cut of about 6 inches on his lower back and also had some fingers cut off from his left hand.
The police revealed that the victim is currently receiving treatment in the Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) and that he is in a stable condition despite having serious injuries.
