Male’, Maldives – The government of Maldives has announced that additional parks have been decided to be built in 10 islands of the country, with the help of the neighbouring country, India.
This was announced by Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof, in a tweet he sent out today, saying that children’s parks are to be developed in 10 additional islands under the grant assistance from the Indian government.
This includes Ha.Baarah, F.Bilehdhoo, Fuvahmulah, three islands of Dhaalu Atoll which are Dh.Hulhudheli, Dh. Badidhoo and Dh.Maaenboodhoo, in addition to four islands of Thaa Atoll which are Th.Madifushi, Th.Kinbidhoo, Th.Omadhoo and Th.Dhiyamigili.
In addition to this, announcements were recently made by Minister Mahloof for parks to be built in 21 other islands. The work of these parks are currently underway and this includes islands in Shaviyani Atoll, Haadhaal Atoll, Noonu Atoll, Kaafu Atoll, Alif Alif Atoll, Alif Dhaal Atoll and Meemu Atoll.
All these parks are being built under the grant assistance form the Indian government.
