Indian Foreign Secretary arrives in Maldives

Male’, Maldives – The Foreign Secretary of India, Harsh Vardhan Shringla arrived on his official trip to the Maldives today evening.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives tweeted announcing the Foreign Secretary’d arrival, which is at the behest of the Foreign Secretary of Maldives Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, to review the progresses of the projects that are currently ongoing in Maldives with the assistance of the Indian government.

According to the Ministry, Joint Secretary Mariyam Midhfa Naeem went to the Velana International Airport (VIA) to receive the Foreign Secretary.

Along with reviewing the projects, the secretaries will also have a discussion about the agreed outcomes of the sixth Joint Commission Meeting that was held in December 2019, revealed the Ministry.

Harsh V Shringla was appointed his position as the 33rd Foreign Secretary of India on 29th January of 2020. Since then, this is the first official trip Foreign Secretary Shringla has made to the Maldives.
