Male’, Maldives – Maldives Police Service, on Sunday night, revealed that the autopsy report’s of Sidhurathullah showed that his cause of death was drowning.
As per Police, the preliminary reports – which came back from India, where Sidhurathullah’s autopsy was carried out – Sidhurathullah died by drowning and the injuries sustained on his body are likely from being bitten and eaten while in the sea.
It was also detailed that some tests carried out on his body showed that he was positive for some drugs and that further tests are still being carried out, while Police are also further investigating the matter.
Since the postmortem, which was performed due to Police having reason to believe that his death was not caused naturally, Sidhurathullah’s body has been buried on Thursday evening after Isha prayers.
The 31 year old local was found dead in the sea, near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on the morning of 22nd October, upon which he was taken to IGMH, where it was determined that his cause of death may not have been of natural causes.
