Male’, Maldives – Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded with 10 projects worth over MVR1.1 Billion for land reclamation in 6 atolls, and harbor development in 3 atolls and a airport development project.
These projects were handed over to MTCC in a ceremony held earlier today where Director General Fathimath Shana Fargooq from the Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure signed on behalf of the ministry and the CEO of MTCC Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem signed on behalf of his company.
The 6 land reclamation projects are to be started at R. Dhuvaafaru, HA. Ihavandhoo, AA. Ukulhas, Th. Hirilandhoo, GA. Dhaandhoo and M. Dhihgaru.
And the towns selected for the harbor development projects are Lh. Hinnavaru, AA. Ukulhas, and AA. Maalhohu.
These 9 projects are estimated to be worth MVR 928،426،941. The MVR 144 Million airport project also signed to MTCC is to be built at Gdh. Faresmaathoda and is scheduled to be completed in 600 days.
