Covid-19: All patients in S. Hithadhoo recovered

Addu City, Maldives – All the Covid-19 patients in the most populas island of Addu City, Hithadhoo, have completely recovered from the virus.

While the island had recently confirmed three Covid-19 cases, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) reveals that all of the three patients have completely recovered from the virus. These three cases were of individuals who were in home quarantine.

The latest statement revealed by HPA shows that currently, there is only one active case in Addu City. This case is also of an individual who is in home quarantine in Feydhoo.

Recently, the number of new Covid-19 cases in the atolls have been decreasing by a great extend. Now there are only 13 active cases in 09 islands of Maldives. Many of the cases are from home quarantine, due to which authorities have been forced to make the home quarantine regulations more strict.

In addition to this, HPA reveals that currently there are 188 active cases in 25 resorts of Maldives. HPA refrained from revealing the names of these resorts.

While the country has recorded only 27 Covid-19 cases over the past 24-hours, the number of confirmed cases have decreased by a great extend over the past months. Maldives initially confirmed three-digit numbers, however, the number of confirmed cases has decreased by a great extend now.

Although the country has confirmed a total of 12,112 Covid-19 cases, there are only 820 active cases remaining. Out of the confirmed cases, 11,244 people have made full recoveries and 41 people have passed away from the virus.
