UAE to grant 10-year Golden Visa for outstanding graduates

Dubai, United Arab Emirates — The Vice President of UAE reveals that the country will be granting their 10-year Golden Visa to outstanding graduates in their country.

On Sunday, the Vice President of USA, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum revealed via Twitter that they will have decided to grant residency for 10 years in the country for the outstanding graduates in their country.

The Golden Visa will only be given to those with a GPA of 3.8 or more and to those who are in accredited universities and the top high school graduates. Sheikh Mohamed also informed that they will grant the visa will to the family members of these students.

“This is a first batch and it will be followed by other categories. We want talented people and great minds to stay in the UAE and join us in the process of development and achievements,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

Along with this, Sheikh Mohammed also announced that the Golden Visa will be granted to those who have specialised degrees in artificial intelligence, big data, or epidemiology and viruses as well.

“Other categories granted UAE Golden Residency are specialists in AI, big data, virology, epidemiology & UAE’s high school top graduates and their families. We are keen to embrace talent that drives future development and this is only the beginning,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

As an attempt to attract the most talented people from various fields and scientific disciplines to the UAE, the country has been launching several such programs in the country. In fact, two months ago, the country also held a retirement program for resident expatriates and foreigners who are above the age 55 to grant them  five-year renewable residency.

In addition to this, Sheikh Mohammed also granted a total of 212 doctors working at the Dubai Health Authority the 10-year Golden Visa as an award and an appreciation gift for the hard work they have been doing in fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic.
