Washington DC, United States — Several lawmakers of the United States are signing impeachment resolutions to remove President Donald Trump from his office as quickly as possible.

The action comes after Trump gave a speech to his supports saying to never  never accept defeat which stormed hundreds of his supporters in the U.S. Capitol causing chaos in the area in hopes of overturning the elections that Trump lost.

This had forced the lawmakers to shelter-in-place and law enforcement to use tear gas and other control measures inside the building to protect the Capitol and the lawmakers in the building from the supporters of Trump who had forced their way through the police officers and had bashed through the doors and windows of the Capitol.

On Thursday, Representative Ilhan Omar announced that she is drawing up articles of impeachment.

We need to move quickly to remove this President from office.

Representative Ilhan Omar stated.

The lawmakers pointed out two things in the resolution, which is Trump’s call with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on January 2 and Trump’s actions toward Trump protesters on January 6 where they had forced their way and destroyed a monumental place of the United States, the Capitol.

Donald John Trump has abused the powers of the Presidency by attempting to unlawfully overturn the results of the November 2020 Presidential election in the State of Georgia.

The article stated.

Along with this, the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi also called on to the Vice President, Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment so that Trump can be removed from his office by getting the majority of the cabinet to agree he should be removed.

On January 6th, dozens of trump supporters had entered the Capitol either through the windows or the doors and had vandalized several offices and smashed the windows of Capitol.

While the Trump supporters were breaching the laws and using violence, Trump made little effort to quell the violence he had helped instigate. He shared a video in which he told his supporters to “Go home”, “We love you,” “You’re very special,” while continuing to promote the falsehood that he won the elections.
