Mabrook appointed as Spokesperson of Presidents Office

Male’, Maldives – Chief Communications Strategist and former Spokesperson of the Presidents Office, Ibrahim Hood has stated that Mohamed Mabrook Azeez has been appointed as the new Spokesperson of the Presidents Office.

In a tweet sent out by the official Twitter handle of the Spokesperson, Hood stated that the president had appointed Mabrook as the Spokesperson for the Presidents Office from January 1, 2021 onward at Deputy Minister level.

Prior to this appointment, Mabrook was working as the Undersecretary of Communications at the Presidents Office. In a press release by the Presidents Office, it stated that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had created Spokesperson’s position at the President’s Office and that Mohamed Mabrook Azeez was appointed to the post.

Presidents Office also had requested to direct all inquiries related to the media and communications at the President’s Office, previously managed by Ibrahim Hood to Mabrook. Mabrook had gained popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic when he was appointed as the spokesperson of the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC).
