Ibrahim Hood appointed as Head of Foreign Relations at President’s Office

Malé, Maldives – Chief Communications Strategist, Ibrahim Hood has been appointed as the new head of Foreign Relations Office.

Prior to the appointment of Hood, Ibrahim Noordeen filled the position.

According to the President’s Office Spokesperson, Mabrook Azeez, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made another appointment last night.

Sabra Noordeen was appointed as Special Envoy for Climate Change of Maldives, under article 11 (a) of the Climate Emergency Act (Law no.: 9/2021), which mandates the President to appoint a Special Envoy for climate change to represent and lead the Maldives’ interests in the international arena with regard to the climate emergency.

Sabra was previously the Secretary to the Foreign Relations Office.
