Miuvaan appointed as spokesperson of President’s Office

Malé, Maldives – Former Communication Director of Foreign Ministry’s Miuvaan Mohamed has been appointed as the new spokesperson of President’s Office.

Following the resignation of Mohamed Mabrook Azeez yesterday, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih accepted his resignation and has now appointed Miuvaan for the post.

According to media reports, Mabrook sent in his resignation to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih while on holiday in his wife’s country, Thailand. 

Mabrook was appointed to the position on January 1, 2022. He served as an undersecretary of the Presidents Office before his appointment as the spokesperson at Deputy Minister level.
