Fuvahmulah, Maldives – The Fire and Rescue Department of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) have commenced efforts to control a fire that broke out in a wetland area in Fuvahmulah.
According to MNDF, the fire broke out in the ‘Dhan’dimagu Kulhi’ area of the single island atoll, and that reports of the fire were received around 12:15 on Wednesday afternoon.
While efforts are still underway, no further details of how or when the fire broke out have been released by MNDF as of yet. It is unknown whether anyone has been injured in the incident either.
