Washington DC, United States of America – The forty-fifth President of the United States, Donald Trump has bid his final goodbyes to the White House along with First Lady Melania Trump, as President Elect, Joe Biden prepares to be sworn in as the new President of America.

According to international reports, the pair left the White House aboard the Marine One helicopter with Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ playing aloud on the tarmac, after a brief farewell, to live at his Florida based Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.

After dropping of the pair for the last time as President and First Lady, the Air Force One is set to return to Maryland where it is expected to be at the disposal of the incoming President, Joe Biden.

International media have reported that Joe will be sworn in as the 46th US President just before 17:00 GMT in Washington, along with Vice President Kamala Harris, who will make history as the first ever woman, person of colour and Asian to hold the position.

As displayed by Trump multiple times on various social media platforms, which eventually resulted in his ban from Twitter, Trump has not taken his defeat in the presidential elections well, and will not be partaking in the oath taking ceremony of his successor, making him the fourth President to do so.

As the event draws near, security is expected to be as tight as can be, with some 25,000 troops set to guard the inauguration, following the recent Capitol riots which took place earlier this January.

Trump lost the presidential election to Joe Biden with a difference of 74 electoral votes, with Trump securing only 232 votes while Biden came on top with 306.
