To date, 51 people have passed away from Covid-19 in Maldives. The deceased are 43 Maldivian nationals, 6 Bangladeshi nationals and a Filipino national. Maldives now has a total 1,015 active cases, summing up the confirmed positive cases to date to a total of 14,885.
Works are underway to procure 700,000 Covid-19 doses, and preparations are being made to inoculate the public at the earliest.
