Thinadhoo, Maldives – GDh. Thinadhoo has been placed under monitoring status again due to the positive Covid-19 case confirmed last night.
When the monitoring status was announced, schools had already commenced for the day and the students were immediately sent home.
Local media reported the case last night quoting the Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo, saying that the individual tested positive for Covid-19 after having have come into close contact with two individuals who tested positive for Covid-19 in Hithadhoo.
The positive case last night was not in quarantine, but part of the Hithadhoo Cluster.
The individual who tested positive was working at the Kaadedhoo Airport and local media “Gaafu” reports a high level of community contact.
