Addu City, Maldives – Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has revealed that of the 336 direct contacts in Addu city, 100 are individuals in the high risk category.
The Addu Emergency Operation Center (Addu EOC) informs that in the past 24 hours, 1 new case has been recorded and the total number of active cases in the city has risen to 53.
The new case of Covid-19 in Addu City is part of the Aviation Cluster which was allegedly discovered among participants of an Aviation Security Command training held in the city.
With this, the total number of positive cases in connection to the cluster has risen to 29, with cases in Hithadhoo, Feydhoo and Maradhoo Feydhoo districts.
172 buildings have been quarantined and positive Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in all populated island districts of Addu city except Maradhoo. The highest number of positive cases recorded are in Hulhudhoo Meedhoo at 25.
1 individual has been hospitalized in Addu city.
A team from HEOC is currently active in the city due to the growing Hithadhoo Aviation cluster and Hulhumeedhoo MTCC cluster.
